Summer Special: The Maine Cat 30 "Summer Special" cruiser price is $194k, valid for deposits received by August 15, 2010. Launch dates would all be the summer of 2011. Plan early and get the boat you have dreamed about NOW at an unbelievable discount of $25k. Once hull #63 is under contract the special pricing is gone forever. Our material costs continue to increase with the improved market and our pricing at the shows this fall will be back to our current list or higher.

We are also very interested in adding a new Maine Cat 30 to our Abaco bareboat charter operation. We currently only one 30 available for charter and need another to meet the market demand . 2010 was the best chartering year we have seen in 12 years of operating out of Hope Town. This is a great way to cover the cost of a boat loan and enjoy your boat in one of best cruising grounds in the world. Ron Engle, our man in Abaco, cares for your boat better than most owners.

Time to plan for the future and get out on the water, before another year goes by, in the best built cat on the market. Please give us a call today at 1-888-832-2287.

The Concept: We have created a simple live aboard cruiser for a short weekend getaway or the cruise of a lifetime. The combination of the highest quality marine materials and hardware, together with advanced building techniques, produce a lightweight composite assembly that is capable of handling offshore conditions and will remain trouble free for years with a minimum of effort.

The Maine Cat 30 is in a class by itself, delivering the promise of real high performance multihull sailing.

Accommodations: The master stateroom berth located on the starboard side is 56" wide and 6'-8" long with a 4' overhead above the mattress. Amidships is a counter and dresser with a solid cherry hanging storage cabinet above. Outboard of the daggerboard trunk is the hanging locker. The head is huge with a Lavac toilet, 20 gallon holding tank, vanity, sink and shower with pressurized water.

The port hull has a very generous single berth forward that is 44" wide and 6'-8" long. Amidships is the galley with a double stainless steel sink, Isotherm 12-volt refrigerator, 12' of counter space, and a Seaward two-burner stove (propane tank located in vented leakproof locker under bridgedeck port seat). Aft is a table that may be used for dining or as a navigation table with an overhead cherry cabinet. The table also converts to a second double berth the same size as the master berth.

Cabin ventilation is provided by two Lewmar size 40 opening hatches with screens, four Lewmar opening ports with screens and large inboard facing companionway hatches with lockable hatch covers and smoked acrylic drop boards.

Bridgedeck: The open bridgedeck is covered by a permanent hardtop with 6' 4" of headroom and is a spacious 8' x 11', which can handle a crowd easily. There is a convertible dinette on the bridgedeck that converts to an extra berth increasing the sleeping capacity to seven. The entire area may be enclosed with acrylic windows or screens when needed. Even in cold weather the windows admit lots of sun turning the bridgedeck into a solarium. There is a custom molded steering pedestal located in the center, two settee seats aft port and starboard (housing the two outboard engines), and the convertible dinette forward with molded-in steps to access the forward deck. With 360 degree visibility from anywhere in the cockpit, both the captain and the entire crew can enjoy the view. All sail controls are brought into the cockpit so the boat is easy to singlehand.

Extra storage space is provided in the crossbeam between the two amas up forward accessible behind the medicine cabinet in the head or under the table in the cockpit. This "garage" area also provides easy access to a number of mechanical systems including the autopilot fluxgate compass and Nexus server. A long narrow stowage area aft of the bridgedeck is accessed through the lazarette behind the helm or behind the aft curtains in either hull. The steering occupies part of this area and may be accessed easily. On deck there are two forward lockers for anchor rode, fenders, cleaning supplies and the like. Between the two amas forward are two tramps separated by a rigid plank.

The interior has been designed for easy cleaning with smooth gel coat surfaces and satin finished cherry trim. Interior furniture is constructed of the Core-Cell foam core used for the hull, deck and hardtop for its strength and light weight.
